Description
The Apprentice- Fabricator is responsible for working with various materials to build and repair customer orders. This position is responsible for keeping the shop neat and orderly, reading prints for orders, and assisting team members when needed.
· Successful completion of all requirements of Fabrication Trainee
· Must possess good mechanical skills and hand eye coordination
· Assist in handling of product moving in and out of shop
· Able to quickly and accurately identify materials used for various orders
· Once trained, able to operate applicable machinery and power tools with little to no direction from supervisor or team members
· Have some knowledge of MIG welding and be able to assist Fabrication team members when needed
· Notifies team leader of any mechanical or material issues
· Ensures that finished product meets quality expectations
· Follows all safety procedures, wears appropriate PPE, and immediately reports any accident or near miss to the team leader/building manager
· Maintain an organized work area and notify management when something needs to be ordered
· Does not go beyond scope of orientation without guidance
· Responsible for cleaning shop and keeping it neat and organized
Requirements
· Reliable transportation
· Have MIG Welding experience and be able to demonstrate skillset
· Ability to work with a team and be adaptable to a changing environment
· Consistently follows all company policies and procedures
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing safety or quality
· Must be able to read a tape measure
· Ability to read work orders
